Please check out the new websites added.  Click on the WEBSITE tab above and  click on the underlined words which will bring you to the website.  Starfall is a great site to practice reading with particular emphasis on rhyming words and word families.  PBS Kids has a great collection of interactive games to practice reading and math skills.  Enjoy !

Also, two new songs have been added to the VIDEO section on our blog. We enjoy listening and singing all these songs at school, have fun playing them at home also ! I have added the colour song and the months of the year song.

What did you do today?

1.  Today, I raced cars.  The cars had numbers on top.  I had to write the numbers of the car and circle the winning car number.  (Olivia)
2.  Today, I wrote the steps to seeing if we can change the color of a white flower.  At the end of the day, the flower is beginning to turn green.  (Alicia)
3.  Today, I went to the Art centre.  I made my own artwork.  (Lakota)
4.  Today, I wrote instructions for how to make chocolate milk.  The French words we are practising are:  En premier, Ensuite, Après, Finalement.  (Justin)
5.  Today, I made a crown for myself at the Art centre.  (Cyrus)

Scholastic orders are being sent home today.  Please return them by Wednesday, March 4th.

What did you do todaye?

1.  Today, I made a beluga.  There wasn't any gray paint so we mixed black and white paint to make gray.  (Alicia)
2.  Today, I made blue water in a water bottle.  (Ayden)
3.  Today, at the Art centre, with a little bit of water and food coloring, I made a tornado.  I have to spin the bottle to make a tornado.  (Caleb)
4.  Today, I acted out the book Les trois Barbichu.  (Breeona)
5.  Today, I played at the water centre.  All of the objects floated except for a paper plate that broke apart.  (Victoria)

Mrs. R. will be replacing Mme Ouellette for the next 3 months, with the possibility of working with the butterflies until the end of the school year!  Welcome aboard, Mrs. R.!  We are happy to have you join us!

What did you do today?

1.  This morning, I made a penguin from a toilet paper roll, paint and construction paper.  (Mason)
2.  Today, I made my own book about Les trois Barbichu after Mme Carroll read us the book. (Justin and Marcus)
3.  Today, I made my own marble with wrapping paper rolls and tape.  (Riya)
4.  Today, I played alphabet bingo.  I got a bingo and won bubbles.  (Lakota)
5.  Today, we learned French words about goats.  (Ayden)

1.  Today, I made a space ship and I shared it with my classmates in French.  (Ayden)

3.  This morning, at the Art centre, I made a card for my mom because I love her so much.  (Mason)
4. Today, I got a train and I put it in the water.  The train floats (flotte).  (Olivia)

1.  Today, I colored a skiing picture.  It is a way to stay active during the winter.  (Olivia)
2.  Today, I learned how to say "to" and "from" in French:  "À" and "De".  (Alicia)
3.  Today, I made a valentine for mom and dad.  I am going to hide it because it will be a surprise.  (Lakota)
