What did you do today?

1.  Today, I found Easter eggs with French words in them.  The eggs were hidden in our classroom.  (Marcus)
2.  Today, I took an Easter paper.  I was looking for Easter eggs with Arjan and Adam.  There were big Easter words and word wall words in the eggs.  (Caleb)
3.  Today, at the Art centre, I painted with special brushes.  (Lakota)
4.  Today, we had a Reach for the Stars assembly.  (Justin)

What did you do today?

1.  Today, I made a butterfly.  I got my materials from the recycling bin.  (Lakota)

3.  Today, I went to the Science centre.  We found out which house in Les trois petits cochons is the strongest.  We tested it out by blowing and by using a blow dryer.  (Ayden)

Welcome Back to School !

Today at school :

1.  We made play dough with Mrs. R.  (Elroei)  We need flour, cream of tartar, salt, hot water, oil, and food colouring.

2.  I counted numbers. I did 1-10. (Lakota)

3.  I played with the play dough.  (Matteo)

4.  I played at the sensory bin with buckets, shovels and trucks.  (Cyrus)

5.  I write sight words at the writing center.  (Mikkel)

What did you do today?

1.  Today, we sang "Bonne fête" to Mme Carroll.  (The Butterflies)
2.  Today, I played "Race to Fill the Cup".  I practised my French numbers.  (Alrizha)
3.  Today, I sang "Let it Go" in French.  (Riya)
4.  Today, at the Writing centre, I wrote "rouge" for our colour wall.  (Arjan)
5.  Today, on the morning message, we read the word "Quelle".  It is a question word.  (Lakota)

7.  Today, we sang the "Olaf" song in French.  (Victoria)

Spring is coming !

Today at school we read a book called "The Dot".

It is a book about a young girl who doesn't think she is an artist, but then realizes that anything can be art, even a dot !  Art can be anything you create. When you create anything, you are an artist...and don't forget to put your name on it !  At the Art centre we showed our creativity starting with a blank piece of paper and...a dot !

At the Math centre we made creations using straws and connectors.  Many friends realized that there were many shapes like squares, rectangles and triangles in their constructions.  We will start to explore shapes a little more when we come back from March break.

At the writing centre, many friends enjoyed writing in their writing notebooks.  We are practicing to write on the lines, use spaces between words, and end sentences with a period.  We are getting so much better at writing !

We are still enjoying playing at the beach in our dramatic play center.  We are imagining that the weather on our beach is sunny and warm, in anticipation of spring!  Mrs R brought in a picture and put in on the waves of our beach mural.  It is a picture of her shaking the fins of a dolphin from her Florida vacation...we love it !!

What did you do today?

1.  Today, at the water table, I was investigating which cup Mme Carroll would want for her mocha.  The one she would want, is the blue cup because the water went all the way up to 5 in the tube (graduated cylinder).  It would have the most mocha in it.  (Caleb)
2.  Today, I drew a picture of me and my family.  I wrote "moi" to show which person is me.  (Emma)
3.  Today, I made a boat and it floated.  It held a lot of people.  About 11.  (Marcus)

5.  This morning, I played "Race to Fill the Cup".  I filled my cup with snapcubes first.  I won. I practised my French numbers. (Mason)

1.  Today, I made a boat with a styrofoam tray,  It floats.  I put 3 toy people in it and it still floated.  (Alicia)

2.  Today, we looked at books about boats.  Then, I went to the Art centre and made a boat.  I even put a flag on my boat.  (Mason)
3.  Today, at the Writing centre, I wrote the steps about how to make chocolate milk.  (Cyrus)
4.  Today, I wrote the steps to making a lunch  for teachers.  By myself, I wrote the word "mange."  (Justin)
